Full Itinerary
Choose Your Ride
You will meet at a centrally located meeting point and head straight to our garage to receive an introduction and choose one of our perfectly restored Vintage Vespas. Then the tour leader will fit each guest with a helmet and give some basic instructions and safety information. Once everybody is feeling a little more confident, it’s time to bite the bullet and get out there!
This is the only vintage Vespa tour that departs from Florence and our scooters are the only vintage automatic Vespas with no gear
You will set off (slowly at first) and head for the freedom of the hills, following the tour leader along the riverside and a tree-lined avenue to a famous viewpoint. From here, you’ll be able to look out and enjoy the incredible panoramic views – and take plenty of snaps to show off to your friends once you return home. Views on Tuscany Vespa tours don’t get much better than this!
Enjoy a Spot of Culture
After posing for photos with your beloved vehicle and the amazing skyline of Florence at the viewpoint, get your culture hat on and enjoy a quick visit inside one of the region’s oldest churches. This spot is also abundant with photo opportunities.
Dare to Speed Up
After taking things relatively slow and steady on the first half of the ride, it’s time to try some more challenging roads. The group will leave the crowds and traffic behind and take to the narrow lanes between castles and villas, through ancient olive groves and around vineyards. For those looking to experience the real raw beauty of Italy from its seldom-visited backroads, Tuscany Vespa tours really are your best bet.
Taste Tuscany
You’ll have certainly worked up an appetite after your exhilarating ride through Italy’s beautiful streets and back lanes, and luckily for you, the next part of the tour features a delicious Tuscan treat. Admire the magnificent views from our country estate and sample some of Tuscany's best prosciutto and cheese with a glass of Chianti.
The Final Stretch
Tuscany Vespa tours wouldn’t be complete without a final farewell ride, so hop back onto your vehicle like a real expert and ride back to the garage feeling more Italian than ever before.

A must if you visit Florence

What an amazing experience! My fiance and I first time in Italy and first time on a vespa! Chris was an amazing guide and very attentive! I'd rate it higher if I could. Well worth every penny! Thank you again Chris for the tour and making sure we had fun and we're taken care of!
First Class Experience!
by: Morgan D on Tripadvisor
First class experience…from the kindness of the staff to the quality of equipment to the knowledge of the tour guides…we got off to a great start. The Vespas are a blast to ride and the views of the city and surrounding vistas are spectacular. Really enjoyed a lovely Tuscan lunch with wine. To top it off we had the best tour guide, Santiago…smart, funny and encouraging. Loved it all!
Beautiful ride through the hills!

The guys running the tour were incredibly nice and helpful. They work with you to learn how to drive the Vespa… ultimately, with their kind encouragement, I decided this wasn’t my sport and rode in the “pace car.” For me, I enjoyed that much more. Word to the wise, try to get a little familiar with driving something similar before you go. My family really enjoyed touring the hills and testing their Italian driving.
So fun!

This was so fun! My husband and I had a great time riding a double Vespa. He did not have experience driving a Vespa before, but it was relatively easy to pick up and they do give a brief lesson before taking off on the roads. Great views, great lunch, and a great day doing something outside the city!
Amazing!

AMAZING - DO IT

What an amazing excursion! Great staff, food, information, and views. I did this trip alone and made friends with my guides and my group! The tour guides do a great job of ensuring all riders are comfortable on their vespas before departure, and they offer ride alternatives for those not ready to drive on their own. Walkabout Tours keeps safety as the highest priority. After my trip I had a few follow-up questions, and the staff was incredibly kind, responsive, and helpful. If you’re on the fence about this tour, I highly recommend doing it! The highlight of my time in Florence!
AWESOME FIAT RIDE
by: Samantha B on Tripadvisor
We toured in a fiat over the Vespa and it was truly amazing! If you can’t drive the Vespa, don’t let it ruin your time! Because there’s so much more to this than riding a Vespa! They take you in and give you lunch or dinner at their private home in the Tuscan hills and everyone is so kind and they care about your safety.
Gabriel was the absolute best!

Wonderful way to experience Florence with awesome people!

This tour was a blast! It is a great way to get out and see the beautiful countryside and learn about the area while having fun on the really nice Vespas. The tour guides are top notch making customer service their main objective. We had a little mix up with what time our tour was and Chris couldn't have been nicer ensuring we got on the morning tour even though it was already full. And Gabriel, our guide was so informative about the area, helpful, nice and fun! They make sure you are safe and are attentive to all the details, and the meal and location were excellent. This is a first class act in all ways. I highly recommend!
Soooooo much fun!

We had a blast! First time riding a Vespa. The guides were very calm and reassuring. The food was delicious and the scenery was just beautiful. Helmets are well sanitized. Vespas were in good condition. They had some good backup options for those who didn’t feel comfortable riding a Vespa too. Would highly recommend this professional, fun tour!
Frequently Asked Questions
DO YOU CATER FOR PEOPLE WITH FOOD ALLERGIES/VEGETARIANS?
Definitely! If you would prefer an alternative to the menu we have chosen, please tell your tour leader and he/she will telephone ahead to arrange it.
DO I NEED A MOTORBIKE LICENCE TO RIDE A VESPA?
A valid car licence is sufficient and you must be at least 18 years of age.
IS IT DIFFICULT TO RIDE THE VESPA IN FLORENCE'S TRAFFIC?
Driving in Italy can be a little different, so just like driving anywhere in the world you must be alert and vigilant and follow the tour leader's instructions.
WHAT IF I LOSE SIGHT OF THE LEADER?
If riders get separated from the tour leader, for example at traffic lights, the tour leader will wait in the first safe place until all the Vespas are together again.
CAN TWO PEOPLE RIDE ON ONE VESPA?
Yes! Two people can share a Vespa and take it in turns to drive, or one can drive and the second person can simply enjoy the ride.
CAN CHILDREN RIDE ON THE BACK?
Unfortunately we cannot allow children to ride as passengers on the Vespas. Minimum age to be on the tour is 18.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
Remember to bring something waterproof if there is a chance of rain! Don't wear flip flops or high heels if you are new to riding the Vespa, flat sensible shoes will be easier.
WHAT SHOULD WE BRING?
You must bring your driving licence. Make sure you bring your camera!
DO YOU PICK US UP FROM OUR HOTEL?
We do not organise hotel pick-ups for difficulties with parking and scheduling, but our meeting in front in Piazza dei Cavalleggeri is very central and should be easy to get to. We are just in front of the Biblioteca Nazionale (National Library) from which many hotels are located within easy walking distance of. Otherwise a taxi (you could ask your hotel to book it for you) would be the fastest option, dropping you off right at the entrance of the Biblioteca Nazionale (National Library).
