Visit Siena

View Siena through the eyes of a locvineyardal as you join a guided walking tour through the medieval city made up of yellow-ochre buildings, terracotta rooftops and green shutters. Learn about the world’s oldest bank, see Piazza del Campo, the site of the 600 year old Palio horserace, and admire the interior of the Duomo, a treasure chest of artworks. Afterwards, enjoy Siena at your own pace with free time for shopping or relaxing in an open air cafe.

A Tuscan lunch at a Chianti wineyard

Next visit an organic family run wine estate – the highlight of the day! Visit the farm, enjoy an informal wine tasting lesson and a traditional Tuscan lunch with plenty of wine, in the most gorgeous location overlooking stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Take the opportunity to meet fellow travellers while feasting on fresh organic farm food of homemade pasta, cured meats (homemade prosciutto and salami), local cheeses, a real garden salad and Tuscan biscotti.

San Gimignano

After lunch we visit the enchanting hilltop town of San Gimignano where you have free time to roam the picturesque streets and squares, browse the local shops, try an award-winning gelato and walk among the town’s famous medieval towers.

Scenic country drive & Pisa

A scenic drive through classic Tuscan countryside will take you to your final stop, Pisa. Here, take a close inspection of the iconic Leaning Tower, the Cathedral and the Baptistery. A brief tour of the historic heart of Pisa will show you another side of the city.

Our Reviews on

Being a tourist and not interested to drive and explore on my own I wanted a nicely planned trip that would make me feel Tuscany and know the history, taste good food and wines as part of the whole experience was just great. I myself would not have been able to visit that medieval town of San Gimingnano or Sienna on my own. Even if I did it would have been disconnected in the experience. Our guide Alessandro took great care of us and his passion to share his knowledge and history and the local tips and recommendations he gave were great. Listening to him made the experience very memorable. Best, Ram

Olivia and Marco are a great team, and made sure we were comfortable and happy. A very good value, but also a very long day! Next time I would skip Pisa as it adds a lot of time for only a bit ( in our opinion) of value. Overall, a great experience!

We had vacationed for 2 weeks in Italy having frequented several tours and the Tuscany in One Day Sightseeing Tour was truly a favorite. The tour was well planned and had a very good flow. First we set out for the city of Sienna, along the way our tour guide Sarah, who was very personable and knowledgeable filled us in on the history of Florence and of the surrounding cities. After arriving in Sienna, we were greeted with a local tour guide who was also very personable and knowledgeable and told us of the very rich history of Sienna. Our next stop would be at a charming restaurant and winery-farm in San Gimignano in which we enjoyed local wine and Italian cuisine with beautiful views of the hillside. We then visited a shopping region of San Gimignano and it was absolutely lovely, filled with specialty shops, bakeries and gelato too. Pisa would be our last stop and did not disappoint as it too was unique and full of history. Transportation to and from cities gave us picturesque views of the countryside and on our drive back, Sarah even personally talked with each us to see if we had any questions she could answer which we really appreciated, so 5-stars for a lovely tour and for our tour guide Sarah too!

Olivia (tour guide) and Mauro (driver) did an amazing job!!! This tour was worth every penny and I would highly recommend for anyone thinking about booking, especially for first-timers to Tuscany. We visited 3 UNESCO World Heritage sites and a winery/organic farm in 1 day. We originally booked to see Pisa, which ended up being our least favorite part of the tour. Siena and San Gimignano were beyond magnificent!! Those two alone are worth the tour. Beautiful old-world towns with so much charm and history. Siena also included a tour by a local guide. San Gimignano had more free time to roam, but not enough in my opinon! It also has a world championship winning gelateria that was beyond fantastic. Lunch was at an organic vineyard and farm. The wine was great, the food was pretty good as well. The day ended in Pisa. I wish we could have had more time in San Gimignano and less time in Pisa, because the tower was really the only thing in Pisa to see. All in all it was a great tour!

This tour was so great! We wished we could have spent more time in both Sienna and San Gimignano. The food and wine on the tour was amazing and there is more than enough to go around. Views were spectacular. Our guide Sarah was awesome! We would definitely do it again.

This was a fantastic tour. It was extremely well organised, I loved every minute. Elisa, our tour guide had a wealth of knowledge, which she delivered to us with a fab sense of humour. I would highly recommend this tour

I gave 3 stars because the views were spectacular. The tour leaders were the worst we have had. All of the tours were great, the tour leaders really made it personal. This tour was about 75 people with 2 leaders. I felt like I was just being herded from site to site. Valentina was nice but she didn’t seem connected or sincere. Though I booked the tour in English the tour was primarily in Spanish as most of the group was Spanish speaking. The tour guide did do a nice job translating but I feel that we missed a lot of information. I’m not fluent in Spanish but I do know that we missed a few explanations. I’m not sure I would trust this company. Not the quality tour I expected

Tuscany is great! This tour from start to finish is 12 hours, or at least ours was (815 meet, 20:15 return). Our guide was great and the stops were nice. Wish the weather would have cooperated but obviously nobody can control that, but maybe some contingency plans for rain wouldn’t hurt. I have no recall of Siena since all I saw were my feet and top of umbrella.

I would certainly recommend this company. They are extremely attentive, cheerful and helpful. Olivia was wonderful, always worried about us, super funny and sweet. We can't go to Florence without touring with Walkabout tours and without meeting this AMAZING Toscana! Thank you so much Walkabout Tours.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed this day trip. Elisa our guide was brilliant, really knowledgeable, friendly and fun. We LOVED every minute. The cities and towns were so interesting, and the meal at the vineyard was excellent - tasty and plentiful. (As was the wine!!) We were lucky enough to be able to purchase tickets to climb the Leaning Tower of Pisa when we got there - but I would recommend pre-purchasing them if you can to avoid possible disappointment. This trip is a MUST as you see so many wonderful places in ONE DAY. Thank you Elisa and Walkabout Florence I will also be recommending you to my friends.
