Working in the traditional Florentine manner, the young Lorenzo and his father create the gold pieces in the workshop that you can spot behind the counter, while sister Veronica helps customers choose and try on pieces. All the work is of 18 kt white, yellow or pink gold, priced according to weight, as the tradition goes and is often embellished with precious stones. Find simple, elegant and both contemporary and traditional designs such as tiny, vermillion coloured coral-branch pendants or earrings, diamond studs, delicate bracelets, Florentine style rings and very friendly service. There are also some unusual one-off pieces such as real antique Roman coins set in a gold pendant.

Description

Masterful and totally unique creations somewhere been jewellery, micro-sculptures and art pieces.Alessandro Dari is not your regular goldsmith. He is also a musician, a poet, an artist, an eccentric, creative soul. His amazing creations are one of a kind pieces, often displayed as sculptural installations in his studio, where he can often be found discussing alchemy or strumming his classical guitar. His collections are based on themes of his interests and passions such as music, time, alchemy, sacred art, the ancient Etruscans. One of his most elegant is the “Church” collection, a series of rings based on the gothic and romantic designs of cupolas and facades, studded with sapphires, diamonds, onyx or rubies. Exquisite, organic, fantastical and fictional, his designs are impossibly original. His workshop is as much a stunning gallery as it is a traditional workshop.

Description

An exquisite atelier of beautifully and lovingly made unique jewellery. This little atelier is tucked away in the characteristic artisan neighbourhood of the San Niccolò area. While the two little window displays outside will keep you oohing and ahhing for a while, inside the small atelier you will find the laboratory itself where all the minute and detailed work is done by Marco Baroni and his apprentices. The filigree white and yellow gold rings inlaid with tiny diamonds are breathtaking, but the favourites are the animal rings, which include exquisite gold crocodiles, designed to wrap around your pinky or index finger and little mice with inlaid precious stones on their backs. The atelier also produces an interesting combination of black iron and gold rings and necklaces for men and women that have a distinct medieval air to them. Incredible workmanship and uniqueness.
