What to do on a Monday?
We've got just a few days in Florence and unfortunately one of those days lands on a Monday, which I've noticed is a day when all the museums are closed. Any suggestions for what we can do that day?
Not all museums are closed on a Monday – the major State museums (such as the Uffizi, Pitti Palace and Accademia gallery) are closed, but civic museums such as Palazzo Vecchio are open, and the Bargello is also open the 1st, 3rd and 5th Mondays of the month. It's a good day to take a break from museums and either visit Florence's incredible churches or spend the day outdoors.
A day trip to another town, such as nearby Fiesole, or a trip to Siena and the Tuscan countryside are an ideal way to spend the day.
