Is there a museum pass?
Is there a Florence museum pass that we can purchase to save on museum tickets?
The 'Firenze Card' is a museum pass covering all the major museums, villas and historical gardens in Florence. It costs 50 euro and is valid for three days, admitting you once to each museum without waiting in line and allowing free use of the city bus and tram network. A European Union citizen under the age of 18 travelling with you also gets free entry to the museums and use of public transport (one child per Firenze Card).
You could also consider becoming a member of the association called the Friends of the Uffizi. For 60 euro you get repeated access to the state owned museums in Florence for a calendar year. If you are travelling with your family, membership for two adults and two children up to the age of 18 costs only 100 euro. Individual tickets for young people under 26 cost 40 euro.
Both these options are available at the Uffizi and at the tourist information offices around town.
