A romantic night out for anniversary
We'll be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary in Florence later on this year - any suggestions on a very romantic place to go for an after dinner drink?
Florence is incredibly romantic at night time, and anywhere with a view would be ideal for celebrating a special occasion like this one. In the warmer weather (from April to October) the Hotel Continentale near the Ponte Vecchio has a wonderful terrace bar called the Sky Lounge, which has sweeping views over Florence in an ancient tower. Otherwise, open year round and just across the Ponte Vecchio is Open Bar (Golden View), an elegant bar and restaurant, it has slick cocktails and gorgeous views of the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi, as it sits right over the river.
